Death of a Swearword - Martin Paull

In this series of paintings Martin has depicted the Stations of the Cross using bushfire imagery. Bushfires have been a key theme throughout his work, stemming from his experiences in the Adelaide Hills during the Ash Wednesday bushfires in 1983.

Barter & Sivell explore our experience of time. Barter brings past and present together, moments collide in paper and photographic constructions. For Sivell, systematic processes with thread and glass contain the fluidity of time and transform it into a static state.

New Works - China - Sarit Cohen

11–29 August

Following residency in China, Sarit explores the identity, role and relevance of Jewish culture and its relationship to other cultures. The sharing of food at a dinner table is a time for nourishment of body and mind – a time to review the minutiae of the day or larger social issues that engage and concern us all. This exhibition reflects the possibility of free flowing debate, story telling and cultural exchange.
