Making Lanterns and Singing Up Peace with Graeme Dunstan

Saturday 14 April > 1:00–5:00pm &
Sunday 15 April > 4:00–6:00pm
This workshop will make lanterns and rehearse songs in preparation for the Anzac Eve Peace Lantern Vigil, assembling on Mount Ainslie at sunset on 24 April.

The aim is to make many lanterns of a standard octahedron shape using bamboo skewers, hot melt and other glues, and grease proof paper. On Saturday 14 April we will make the frames. On Sunday 15 April we will cover the frames with paper.

We will sing as we work, rehearsing some of the laments to be sung at the Peace Lantern Vigil.

Cost > $15/$30 families for both sessions, includes materials
