Participants in this class will explore in depth, the creative possibilities of this wonderfully expressive and vibrant medium. This is not a “paint by numbers class” and students are encouraged to be individuals, explore different techniques and work in areas & on subjects that interest them.
We will cover a variety of techniques & principals including underpainting, colour theory, composition, and manipulation of your paper/board & understanding tone. Participants are invited to bring a body of work for a one-on-one critique and evaluation session so we can work on your weaknesses & improve on your strengths. We will cover a variety of subjects, some of which you will provide. There will be a distinct emphasis on developing individual styles with plenty of positive advice, individual attention & demonstrations.
