Now you don’t have to run away to join the circus!
Warehouse Circus has been training young people in the ACT since 1990. Warehouse Circus gives around 300 young people weekly the opportunity to learn circus and physical theatre and to participate in approximately 33 performance opportunities during the year. With the guidance of skilled trainers, all Warehouse Circus performances are written, performed and produced by the participants. In this way, Warehouse Circus has been a platform for many successful professional performers.
Through the programs Warehouse Circus aims to empower young people to participate in their own personal and social development. Warehouse Circus provides young people with role models, solid friendships, and life skills such as self esteem, facing fears, taking responsibility and leadership. Research and parental feedback indicates that these skills strongly influence other areas of the young peoples’ lives in positive ways.
These workshops are friendly and accessible to kids aged 8 - 15 with a range of skill levels, from those who have never done circus before to those who have quite a lot of circus experience.
Warehouse Circus teaches a variety of skills including unicycling, adagio (balance), juggling, plate spinning, and much more. So come and check out Warehouse Circus Northside Beginners at the Belconnen Arts Centre.
