Belconnen Arts Centre
Venue & Hiring
The purpose built spaces within Belconnen Arts Centre are available for both regular and occasional hire.
The two Creative Workshops are suitable for large art and craft classes, and we offer three Creative Studios for artists to utilise in administration and the creation of new works. The Meeting Room and Arts Lounge are ideal spaces if you are hosting a seminar or corporate presentation in the heart of Belconnen and the Dance Studio is available for dance and movement classes. In addition to the main Gallery, the Outdoor Gallery presents a unique opportunity for sculptors and installation artists to exhibit, and when it comes to community exhibitions, major events, launches and concerts you can’t go past the spectacular Foyer space, with panoramic views of a truly stunning Lake Ginninderra.
EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST TO HIRE THE GALLERY AND FOYER IN 2013 WILL BE ACCEPTED BETWEEN 1 JANUARY AND 31 MARCH 2012.
Please note that venue hire fees for 2012-13 will be online shortly.

Expression of Interest - Regular Hire : To hire a space on a recurring basis, ie for a class or workshop series which takes place at the same time each week
Expression of Interest - Casual Hire : To hire a space on a one-off basis or a small number of times, ie a performance, an event or presentation, or a series of meetings
Expression of Interest - Exhibition Hire : To hire a space for the presentation of creative works in the Gallery, Outdoor Gallery, Foyer or Arts Lounge

All hires are subject to the General Terms and Conditions (Download here). Individual spaces are also subject to specific conditions - these are included below.

Dance Studio

The Dance Studio is currently available for term hire during the following times:
Monday 9:30-11:30am &
12:30-6:00pm
Thursday 2:30-6:00pm
Friday 12:30-5:30pm & 7:00-9:30pm
Saturday 12:30-3:00pm
Sunday 6:30-9:30pm
There is availability for after-school classes on several days, as well as a morning session and two evenings still available.
The Dance Studio is available for periods of up to two weeks during School Holidays in conjunction with the Belconnen Arts Centre Artist in Residence Program.
Foyer
Rates, Specifications & Conditions - Download
The foyer is available as a venue for live music, suitable for performances of choir, chamber music and other acoustic presentations.
Applications for exhibitions in the Foyer for 2013 will be accepted between 1 January - 31 March 2012.
Please note that private events in the Foyer should include some arts component eg.
live music.
