Venue & Hiring

The purpose built spaces within Belconnen Arts Centre are available for both regular and occasional hire.

The two Creative Workshops are suitable for large art and craft classes, and we offer three Creative Studios for artists to utilise in administration and the creation of new works. The Meeting Room and Arts Lounge are ideal spaces if you are hosting a seminar or corporate presentation in the heart of Belconnen and the Dance Studio is available for dance and movement classes. In addition to the main Gallery, the Outdoor Gallery presents a unique opportunity for sculptors and installation artists to exhibit or as a distinguished location for a cocktail party or VIP event. And when it comes to community exhibitions, major events, celebrations, launches and concerts you can’t go past the spectacular Foyer space, with panoramic views of a truly stunning Lake Ginninderra.

Your meetings and events can be catered for by Black Pepper Bar and Cafe - the preferred caterer of Belconnen Arts Centre.

Dance Studio

Venues

The Dance Studio is currently available for term hire during the following times:
Monday 9:30-6:00pm
Tuesday 12:30-2:30pm & 4:00-5:30pm
Wednesday 9:30-11:00am & 2:30-6:00pm
Thursday 11:30-5:00pm
Friday 11:30-5:30pm & 7:00pm onwards
Saturday 12:30-2:30pm
Sunday 10:00-12:00pm

The Dance Studio is available for longer periods during School Holidays in conjunction with the Belconnen Arts Centre Artist in Residence Program.

 

Foyer

How to get to Belconnen Arts Centre:

  • WHERE ARE WE?
    118 Emu Bank, Belconnen, ACT [Google Maps]
  • OPENING HOURS:
    Tuesday – Sunday 10:00am – 5:00pm
    Except for regular classes and special events
  • BUS:
    ACTION [Timetable Information] - 300 series buses to Belconnen, get off at Belconnen Community Bus Station and walk down to the Centre, or Route 45 directly to the Centre.
  • CAR:
    Enter eastern end Emu Bank from either Aikman Drive or Eastern Valley Way, from the western end off Joynton Smith Drive or directly opposite the end of Benjamin Way
  • PARKING:
    Emu Bank, Westfield Belconnen and behind Nature Conservation House, or at the Centre (2 hours only)
