Earth Works — Gay Emmerson
5–23 September » Foyer
Emmerson explores earth shapes and land forms in Canberra and around the world. Although the artist had painted the Shepherds Lookout and catchment area for many years, a satellite photo of these same landforms inspired her to see the terrain in an entirely new light. Subsequent travels to Jordan and the Kimberleys allowed for the continued exploration of land, shape, colour and texture.
