Spirit of Lake Eyre - Val Johnson

During a visit to Lake Eyre in 2011, the artist took a flight over the lake, and was able to see the wonderful patterns and shapes etched into the land. The normally red landscape was unusually green and filled with water — channels and lines flowing into the lake, giving life to a parched landscape. This exhibition focuses on the rhythmic shapes and patterns formed in the salt, the landscape and the water.
