Studio Masterclass: Watercolour Painting en Plein Air
With Nicolette Benjamin Black
Sunday > 10am – 3pm
Paint with watercolour and extend your skills beyond the beginner level on the artist’s delightful country property. Be inspired by the dams reflecting the sky and trees, the roaming horses and chooks, vegetable gardens, stately old gum trees and lovely vistas.
In the first hours, you will experiment with wet and dry paper, and other watercolour techniques. You will also explore clouds, water reflections, painting bark, washes, salt, plastic wrap alternatives, and how to dry with a hairdryer. You will make at least one sketch outside in the landscape, and enjoy coffee, tea and cake with the artist and fellow students.
What to bring >
Please bring a basic watercolour painting kit, which can be found at most good arts & crafts stores, and your own lunch.
