For students who have completed the introductory Zentangle Drawing course, this workshop will explore the use of larger Zentangle tiles and other mediums. We will create Zentangle inspired landscapes, labyrinths and explore more colour techniques.
About Janet Johnson >
Janet Johnson became a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT™) in June 2018 after studying the practice for 4 years. This followed a 15-year career in web design where she was responsible for the front-end design and development of many of Australia’s national sporting bodies’ websites including sailing, gymnastics, cycling and equestrian. She worked on the Melbourne Commonwealth Games 2006 site along with the official sailing results site of the Athens Olympic Games 2004. Janet stumbled across the Zentangle® Method by chance following an illness and has developed a passion for sharing this wonderfully creative and relaxing drawing method.
Weeks 1-3 (21 May, 28 May and 4 June)
Labyrinth: Working with beautiful large format Opus tiles, we will create a labyrinth string and tangle our way out from the centre along its path, enjoying our journey along the way.
Weeks 4 and 5 (11 and 18 June)
Zentangle Inspired Landscape: Learning some new tangles and incorporating those we have learned from our introductory course, students will fill their chosen landscape with tangles, creating their first large work.
Week 6 (25 June)
We will learn techniques incorporating bright colour into our work, using coloured pens, pencils and watercolour pencils.
All materials will be provided.
Please note, enrolment closes one week prior to the first workshop.
