Community Arts Officer – Gungahlin
The Community Arts Officer – Gungahlin role is part of an exciting three-year arts development program for the Gungahlin and Woden regions in the ACT. Belconnen Arts Centre and Tuggeranong Arts Centre are excited to be collaborating to establish two new positions focused on fuelling a love of and engagement in the arts, that will initiate and develop programs founded in the principles of community arts & cultural development and social inclusion and will work with creatives and the community in cultivating a dynamic program of arts and cultural activities and experiences.
The Community Arts Officer – Gungahlin is a part-time position of 30 hours per week (4 days x 7.5hrs). Initially located with the team at Belconnen Arts Centre with a focus on the Gungahlin region, the Community Arts Officer – Gungahlin will be managed by Belconnen Arts Centre and will collaborate with the Woden-based Community Arts Officer managed by Tuggeranong Arts Centre.
The Community Arts Officer – Gungahlin is responsible for working with artists, community groups and individuals in the conceptualisation, effective management and delivery of a vibrant arts and cultural development program that expresses, celebrates and promotes the value of locally determined creative activity. This will include but not be limited to a range of pop-ups, creative experiences, arts activities and community celebrations.
